Stop the Traffick!
Stop the Traffick! is a fundraising race festival on June 6, 2026, held at Kalamazoo Christian. The event partners with Destiny Rescue to raise funds to support the rescue of children from human trafficking. This is the second annual edition of the event.
The morning features two on-course events on an off-road cross-country course that includes trails; strollers are not encouraged. The 5K is chip timed and the one mile fun run is timed by the race clock. The one mile event is a Costume Run and participants may wear costumes. A parent or guardian may run with young children in the fun run without registering.
Packet pickup is available on the days before and the day of the event at Kalamazoo Christian Middle School. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by May 14; shirts after that date are first come, first served. Parking at the school is limited; primary parking is at 12th Street Baptist Church across the street.
Awards for the fun run consist of a participation token for all finishers. 5K awards include overall male and female and 1st and 2nd place division winners in age brackets: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99.
A concurrent community event called Ministry in Motion showcases local nonprofit organizations, food trucks, yard games, a bouncy house, face painting, and door prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
