Stop the Traffick!
Stop the Traffick! is a race festival held in Kalamazoo on June 6, 2026 at the Kalamazoo Christian school campus. The event is presented in partnership with Destiny Rescue to raise funds aimed at rescuing children from human trafficking.
Race options include:
- 5K run/walk on a cross country course including trails
- One mile fun run now presented as a costume run
Both courses use an off-road cross country layout that includes trails, so strollers are not encouraged. The 5K is chip timed and the fun run is timed with a race clock. The one mile fun run is organized as a costume run and participants are encouraged to dress up. A parent or guardian may run with young children in the fun run without registering for the child.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the day before and the day of the event at the school. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by May 14; shirts after that date are available first come first served. Fees listed for the event include a 5K registration fee, a one mile fun run fee, and a combined entry option. Awards include participation tokens for the one mile fun run and overall and age division awards for the 5K. Parking at the school is limited; primary parking is at 12th Street Baptist Church across the street. A community fair called Ministry in Motion will run alongside the event with local nonprofit booths and food trucks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
