Event Overview
The Stonetown Triathlon takes place on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, in St. Marys, Ontario. The event venue is the St. Marys Quarry, one of Canada's oldest quarries, located at 425 Water St S.
Race Distances
The event features multiple categories for youth and junior athletes, divided by age and racing format (draft-legal or non-draft). Distances vary per category:
- Draft Legal Junior Cup (16-19): 600m swim, 16km bike, 5km run.
- Draft Legal Youth Cup (14-15): 400m swim, 12km bike, 3.75km run.
- Non-Draft Legal (14-15): 300m swim, 8km bike, 2.5km run.
- Non-Draft Legal Youth Cup (12-13): 300m swim, 8km bike, 2.5km run.
- Non-Draft Legal (12-13): 300m swim, 8km bike, 2.5km run.
- Non-Draft Legal (10-11): 100m swim, 4km bike, 1.25km run.
- Non-Draft Legal (8-9): 100m swim, 4km bike, 1.25km run. A draft legal certification is required for the draft-legal categories. A one-day Triathlon Ontario membership must be purchased for participation.
Logistics
The event runs from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. A tentative schedule outlines wave start times for the different age categories and genders. Entry fees range from $65 to $85.
