Event overview

The Ontario House (aka Stone Jug) 5K is a road race in Youngstown, NY along the Niagara River. The event features a USATF certified course with views of the Lower Niagara River, Lake Ontario, and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. It is organized to raise funds for the Youngstown Free Library. The race offers a 5K distance and awards trophies to the first overall male and female finishers, plus age group gifts for the following divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.

Logistics and services

Registration is available online and by mail; paper applications must be received by 1-30-26. The base registration fee is $30 and increases to $35 after 11/30/25. Stone Jug t-shirts are guaranteed to entrants who register by January 23, 2026 at 9am; a limited number of extra shirts will be available on race day. Packet pickup and race day registration take place inside the Ontario House back dining room. The course starts on Main Street in front of the Ontario House and finishes in the back parking lot of The Jug. Free parking is available throughout the village, with overflow parking near Fort Niagara.

Professional timing is provided with Jaguar Electronic RFID and real-time results are available via online and onsite options. There are no refunds; organizers may postpone, reschedule, or offer a virtual alternative for safety or emergency reasons. Post-race food and beverages are provided.
