Stomp Out Hunger 5k Run and 1Mile Walk
Stomp Out Hunger is a fundraising running and walking event held in Kihei, Hawaii, with start and finish at Hale Kau Kau, 25 W Lipoa Street. The event supports Hale Kau Kau, a volunteer driven nonprofit that prepares and delivers meals to the homebound elderly and disabled and serves hot meals at its kitchen each day.

Registration and fees follow a tiered structure. Early registration for the 5K is $30 with youth under 15 and seniors over 65 at $20 until September 1. From September 2 to October 30 the 5K fee is $40 and $25 for youth and seniors. Day of race registration is $50 for all. The 1 Mile walk fee is $30 and children under 5 are free with an adult. Four person teams have a separate preregistration fee and must preregister by email to the organizer.
Race features include a wheelchair division, age group awards in five year increments from 10 and under to 90 plus, a timed walk with awards to the top three walkers, a corporate team challenge, a Halloween costume contest, a post event sit down breakfast, and door prizes. Packet pickup and a raffle occur the evening before at Hale Kau Kau hall.
The event is USATF sanctioned and hosted by the HKK Road and Track Club. Virtual participation is available; virtual results must be submitted by the stated deadline and virtual entrants may receive a giveaway and a certificate but are not eligible for age group awards.
