Stocking Suffer 8-Hour Endurance Run
The Stocking Suffer is an eight hour endurance race held at Terrapin Nature Park in Stevensville, Maryland. Participants complete repeated laps of a 2.8-mile loop and may run as many laps as they choose within the eight hour time limit. Each completed lap earns a surprise that is added to the participant's personal stocking; when the event ends participants keep the items they collected and also receive a special check-out gift. The male and female with the most laps receive special awards.
Event amenities include a stocking provided for every participant and a KIRG aid station at the start and finish offering water, sports drink, and a variety of fueling snacks. There is ample space at the start and finish for runners to set up a personal rest or aid station; participants may bring extra fluids or food and may share with others. Full-service restrooms are available at the start and finish, with several porta-potties placed on course.
Registration is limited to 100 participants and carries a registration fee of $55. Registration opens on July 1, 2026 and closes on December 5, 2026.
