StMU 5K for the Neighborhood
The StMU 5K for the Neighborhood takes place on October 3, 2026 in San Antonio at One Camino Santa Maria, near the St. Marys campus. The event has supported the needs of people who live near the St. Marys Gateway District since 2014. Proceeds support the partnership between St. Marys and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The church receives a specified contribution of $10,000 to enhance services and outreach programs in the surrounding neighborhoods. Holy Rosary is run by Marianist priests and brothers and is located next to the university campus.
The event includes three participant categories with different fees and eligibility rules. General participant registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes August 18, 2026 with a fee of $20. Student participant registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes August 18, 2026 with a fee of $5; this category is for currently enrolled students at St. Marys University. Child registration is free for those 12 years of age and under; a child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and child registration closes on October 3, 2026.
