StMU 5K for the Neighborhood
The StMU 5K for the Neighborhood is a community running event on 10/03/2026 at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, located at One Camino Santa Maria. The event has run since 2014 and focuses on serving people who live near the St. Mary’s Gateway District.
Proceeds from the 5K support Holy Rosary Catholic Church to enhance services and outreach programs in the neighborhoods around the university. The church, run by Marianist priests and brothers, is located next to the St. Mary’s campus and is a partner in the event’s community work.
The event offers participant categories with different fees: general participant 13 years and over has a fee of $25.00; currently enrolled students at St. Mary’s have a fee of $10.00; children 12 years of age and under may register at no fee but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration opens 07/01/2026 for the listed categories. Registration for general and student categories closes 09/29/2026; child registration is permitted through 10/03/2026.
