Steyning Stinger : event details
The Steyning Stinger is scheduled for Sunday 8 March 2026. The event offers the following race distances:
- Marathon
- 30K
- Half Marathon
The Marathon, 30K and Half Marathon are registered UTMB Index events. Entries are open and, after entry, competitors receive a confirmation email with additional race information. GPX route files are available for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 30K.
Course, support and extras
The course includes multiple drinks stations with mile markers (examples include Washington at 3.8 miles, North Farm at 8.0 miles, Cissbury Ring at about 12.7 and 16.5 miles, and the finish at 26.2 miles). Several roadside points are marshalled, including Wiston House, Chanctonbury Ring Road, Washington (Old Road), Sullington Hill, Chanctonbury Cross-roads and Worthing Golf Course.
Race medals are manufactured in the UK from sustainable materials. Event photography will be taken on the day and made available for competitors to download for free. A technical running T-shirt is offered with 2026 shirts in green and gold; the shirt features wickable textured fabric, a relaxed fit, set-in sleeves, twin-needle stitching and UPF 30+ UV protection.
