Steps Toward Healing 5K Run/Walk
Steps Toward Healing is a community 5K run and walk held at Eisenhower Park, Parking Field 2, in East Meadow, NY. The event is organized as a walk to honor children, siblings, and loved ones who have died and to support COPE families in their healing. Participants may bring a small photo for a memory board. Dogs are not permitted in Eisenhower Park.
Registration is not yet open; notifications are available for when registration opens. Registrants who register before March 22 are eligible for event t-shirts. A personalized bib is provided to those who register at least three weeks before the event.
On event day, bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event. Last-minute registrants who register within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text shortly after registering. Live online, text, and email results are provided, along with free finish-line photos and same-day finish line video. Free parking and handicap parking are available at the site. Restrooms, swag or snack bags, and race results delivered live are among the listed amenities.
Age group recognition is awarded online for top finishers overall and in standard age brackets, including youth, adult, and senior categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
