Steps Toward Healing 5K Run/Walk
Steps Toward Healing 5K Run/Walk is a community event at Eisenhower Park, Parking Field 2, in East Meadow, NY. The event is organized as a memorial walk to honor children, siblings, and loved ones who have died and to support COPE families in their healing. Participants may bring a small photo for a communal memory board.
The event offers several participant amenities. Registrants who sign up before March 22nd receive a T-shirt. Restrooms are available on site, and the venue provides free parking and handicap parking. Swag and snack bags are distributed, live and text and email results are available, and finish line photos are provided free of charge. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance.
Bib pickup is handled on site by event staff; a bib number is required for pickup. Last-minute registrants who register within 24 hours receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds. Age group recognition is published online for top finishers overall and in age brackets including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 plus.
Dogs are not permitted in Eisenhower Park. Previous race results and bib lookup are available online. Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
