Steps Toward Healing 5K Run/Walk
Steps Toward Healing is a community 5K run/walk held at Eisenhower Park, Parking Field 2, in East Meadow, NY. The event is presented as a walk to honor children, siblings, and loved ones who have died and to stand with COPE families in their healing. Participants may bring a small photo for a memory board.
Registration will open prior to the event. Registrants who register before March 22nd are eligible for event T shirts. A personalized bib is available for those who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is handled by event staff beginning one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup and can be found through the event lookup tools. Last minute registrants within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text within 90 seconds.
Amenities at the event include restrooms, free parking with handicap parking available, swag and snack bags, live and text or email results, and free finish line photos. Age group recognition is posted online and includes Top 1 male and female overall and Top 1 male and female for these age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90+.
