Steps 2 Safety : Walk/Run for Domestic Violence Awareness
Steps 2 Safety is a community walk and run at Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem, Oregon, scheduled for October 3, 2026. The event raises awareness about domestic and sexual violence and supports local services for survivors.

All proceeds benefit the Center for Hope & Safety and the Marion County Domestic Violence Council initiatives. The Center for Hope & Safety provides a safe environment for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking, and offers a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, community education, and outreach.
Registration details note that shirts are included with adult and youth entries. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for those registered by the listed deadlines. Ages 6 to 15 receive a youth discount at checkout, and children age 5 and under are free. Pre-registered participants may pick up race packets the morning of the event at the pre-registration booth; packets include a race bib, safety pins, and a race t-shirt. Participants who register on the morning of the event will receive their packet after completing registration.
