Steps ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL 5K family fun walk/run
The Steps ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL is a family-oriented 5k walk/run held in Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, WA, as part of the Oak Harbor Music Festival weekend. The course is fully paved and follows the waterfront out to Catalina Park at the Marina and returns to Windjammer Park.
The event supports families caring for infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays. It is organized as a non-competitive activity where participants move at their own pace and all finishers are celebrated equally.
Registration for adults and youth includes a T-shirt. Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt while sizes may not be available for later registrations after August 15. Youth entries receive a half-price rate for ages 5 to 11, and children under 5 are free; the youth discount is applied automatically when birthdate information is provided. The listed registration fee is $30.
Onsite check-in is handled at registration tables where participants pick up race bibs and shirts. Free parking is available at Windjammer Park. After check-in there are kids' activities, face painting, photo booth backdrops, and similar family activities. Snacks and refreshments are provided at the end of the course.
Strollers, tricycles, and pets are permitted on the paved course; participants are asked to act responsibly and clean up after animals. A coat drive for sizes 0-5 collects new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, and boots to support Steps families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
