Steps ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL 5K family fun walk/run
The event takes place on September 5, 2026, at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, Washington. It is a music-themed, family-oriented day that includes a non-competitive 5K and a new shorter route for very young participants.
Distances:
- 5K ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL, waterfront course to Catalina Park and back
- BABY STEPS 1/2 Mile, free 0.5 mile route for the youngest participants
Registration opens April 26, 2026 and closes September 5, 2026. The standard 5K registration fee is $30. Youth pricing applies for ages 5 to 11 at half price and children under 5 register free. Adult and youth 5K registrants receive a ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL T-shirt; t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations after August 21, 2026. Baby Steps participants may purchase an event t-shirt for $10.
On event day, registration tables are used to pick up bibs and shirts. Free parking is available at Windjammer Park. Kids activities include face painting and photo backdrops; snacks and refreshments are available at the end of the 5K. Strollers, tricycles, and pets are permitted on the course; participants are expected to clean up after pets.
Proceeds benefit Steps, a nonprofit providing in-home early support services for infants and toddlers birth to three with developmental delays. Services include therapies, education, and family-centered support across Whidbey Island, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
