Steps of Love - Pregnancy & Infant Loss Memorial Event (5K Run / 1 Mile Walk)
Forever in Our Hearts hosts the 5th Annual Steps of Love memorial event on September 19–20, 2026 in Norfolk, Nebraska. The in-person site is Taha-Zouka Park softball complex at S. 5th St and McKinley Ave. The event includes both in-person and virtual participation options over the event weekend.

- 5K Run
- 1 mile Walk
- Kids Fun Run : 220 yards (1/8 mile grass), ages 12 and under
Registrations open July 26, 2026. To guarantee an event shirt and the option to purchase a Memorial Kit, register by August 30, 2026; registrations may be accepted up to the event start but shirts cannot be guaranteed after August 30. Standard registration fees listed by the organizer include $25 for most adult events and $15 for the kids run.
A Memorial Kit is offered for parents who wish to honor a baby; the kit includes a custom yard sign with the baby’s name displayed along the route and the baby’s name on the event banner. Virtual participants may purchase a kit and may arrange local pickup for event shirts.
The in-person event follows a loop along the Cowboy Trail. Parking, public restrooms, food trucks, live music, and family-friendly activities will be available.
