The Chase
The Chase is a running event held on the Hillsborough Bypass in New Jersey. The race features an out-and-back course with a single turn, specifically designed for speed. The entire bypass is closed to traffic for the duration of the event to accommodate participants.
The event offers a single distance:
- 5K running race
A total prize purse of $5,000 is available for competitors. The race is open to all participants and serves as a fundraising opportunity for local charities. Registration fees are set at $40 until August 1, with a price increase occurring after that date. Members of USATF receive a small discount on the entry fee.
All participants receive a beverage ticket and a soft pretzel following the race. The post-race celebration takes place on a Saturday evening and is hosted by Flounder Brewing.
