Purpose and Partners

The event is described as a 5K that welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers to honor the heroes of September 11th and those who served in subsequent conflicts. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training, where participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. The event organizer, the Travis Manion Foundation (TMF), has partnered with GORUCK for the rucking divisions.
