9/11 Heroes Run - Raritan, NJ
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community event held at the Johnson & Johnson Campus in Raritan, New Jersey. This event serves to honor the individuals affected by the events of September 11 and those who have served in the military or as first responders. The event provides a space for local veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families to come together through physical activity.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K Run (available for individuals, active duty military, and first responders)
- 5K Ruck (carried out with weighted rucksacks)
- 1-Mile Run/Walk
The 5K Ruck division is organized in partnership with GORUCK. Rucking is a discipline derived from special forces training where participants complete the course while carrying a weighted rucksack. Individuals registered for the rucking division receive an exclusive patch.
The courses are available to participants of various fitness levels, including runners, walkers, and ruckers. Specific registration categories are available for active duty military and first responders at a modified rate. The event takes place on the campus grounds located off US Highway 202 S.
