About the race
The Helene Cody Cranbury 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is the Helene Cody Foundation’s major annual fundraiser held at Heritage Park in Cranbury, New Jersey. The event honors the memory of Helene Cody and supports the foundation’s work funding youth-led community service projects and scholarships in Central New Jersey.

The 1 Mile Fun Run consists of two loops entirely within Heritage Park; all finishers receive a medal. The 5K is a chip-timed, USATF-certified course described as flat and running through shaded parks and residential streets, with a water station that is passed twice. Roads are closed during the race; walkers and strollers are permitted and are asked to start toward the back of the pack.
Packet pickup is offered at local businesses in the days before the event, with race day packet pickup at Heritage Park. Parking is available at nearby lots and on permitted streets; attendees are advised to allow extra time for detours related to Cranbury Day. Awards include medals for the fun run, trophies and plaques for top overall finishers, and age-group prizes for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
