Helene Cody Cranbury 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk : Cranbury, NJ
This annual community race at Heritage Park in Cranbury features a 5K and a one-mile fun run/walk and takes place on September 12, 2026. The event honors the memory of a local teenager who died of a brain aneurysm on her 16th birthday in 2008. She had planned to revive the Cranbury Day 5K; classmates hosted the first race after her passing, and the associated foundation now uses the event to fund youth service projects and scholarships.

T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by August 6; T-shirts are available while supplies last for later registrants. Packet pickup nights are scheduled on September 3 at Fleet Feet Princeton from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and September 4 at the Cranbury branch of Princeton Soup and Sandwich Company from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Race day packet pickup is provided at Heritage Park.
Entry fees listed for this edition include a 5K fee of $25 and a one-mile fee of $20; prices increase after the listed deadline. All proceeds support the event’s 501(c)(3) foundation, which funds youth-led community projects and local scholarships. Volunteers assist with parking, registration, course direction, food service, and setup; community service verification is available.
