Steel City Human vs Horse Preview Run : May 17, 2026
This preview run explores the trails of Hillman State Park near Burgettstown, PA, starting from Miller Business Park. The event offers guided loop options for runners and riders on the same day. Participants may bring a horse or attend on foot; no prior horse experience is required for runners.
Distances offered include:
- 10k: 6.5 miles, hiker and walking friendly, estimated 1 to 2 hours
- Half Marathon: 13 miles, 10 to 15 min mile pace, estimated 2 to 3 hours
- 30k: 18.5 miles, 10 to 12 min mile pace, estimated around 3 hours
The course will not be marked. Each group will have a leader and maps and GPX files will be shared in advance. Meeting location provides parking for cars and trailers at Miller Business Park.
