Stayton Fun Run
The Stayton Fun Run is an annual running and walking event held in Stayton, Oregon, as part of the town's Fourth of July festival. The event has been a local tradition since 1983 and uses both asphalt and cross-country surfaces. Organizers describe the courses as appropriate for competitive runners, recreational runners and walkers.
The run is held in conjunction with Stayton’s 4th of July festival, which features a Kid’s and Grand Parade, a community dinner, band concerts, a variety show, children’s games, food booths and a fireworks display. The event starts and finishes at the Stayton Community Center, 500 W Burnett St., Stayton, OR 97383.
Entry fees are listed as $15 for online pre-registration and $20 for day-of registration. Awards include ribbons to the top male and female finishers in five-year age groups for the 5K and 10K races. An additional prize is awarded to the most patriotically dressed runner, listed as a patriotic Denali blanket valued at $130.
