Event overview
The Starting Block Winter Carnival running events are organised by Endurance Health and Fitness and take place on Sunday February 8, 2026, in Lavington Park, Coldstream, BC (6408 Lavington Way). The events are part of the Vernon Winter Carnival. Registration is online only and closes on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 6 PM. There are no day-of-race entries.

Course, logistics and race-day details
The 10 km course is described as flat or gently rolling with a combination of out-and-back and loop sections through rural-residential and agricultural countryside. Expect ice and snow on the course. The 3 km is an all-paved, flat loop with an out-and-back.
Packet pick-up is available Saturday, February 7 (afternoon) at The Starting Block and on race day near the tennis courts in Lavington Park. Post-race awards will be held outside in Lavington Park; participants are advised to bring warm clothing, chairs and blankets. The event is cup-free; participants should bring their own water and a cup for hot drinks.
Parking: take Hwy 6 east from Vernon, turn right on School Road just past the Canco gas station; parking is along School Road. Do not park on Lavington Way. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
