Event overview
The Starting Block Winter Carnival run is organized by Endurance Health and Fitness and takes place in Lavington Park, 6408 Lavington Way, Coldstream, BC, as part of the Vernon Winter Carnival. Course and awards
The 10 km course is described as flat or gently rolling through rural-residential and agricultural countryside. The 3 km is an all-paved, flat out-and-back loop. There are no placings or awards for the 3 km fun event. Post-race awards and activities will take place outside in Lavington Park; participants are advised to bring warm clothing, chairs, and blankets.
Registration, pickup and other details
Registration is online only and closes at 6 PM on Saturday, Feb 7, 2026. Race package pickup is available Saturday, Feb 7, 1-4 PM at The Starting Block, 3100 29th Ave, Vernon, for those registered before 6 PM on Thursday, Feb 6. The event is cup-free; participants should bring their own water and a cup for coffee. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided after the race. Parking is along School Road; do not park on Lavington Way at the finish. Registration fees listed are CA$38.44 for the 10K and CA$11.73 for the 3K.
