Event overview
Dirty Feet Kal Park Ultra is a trail running event in Kalamalka Provincial Park near Vernon, BC. The event offers three distances:
- 50 km
- 25 km
- 8 km
The course runs on marked trails through forest and grassland with views of Kalamalka Lake and the Okanagan Valley. Prize money for the 50 km race is awarded to the top three men’s and women’s finishers (1st $100, 2nd $50, 3rd $25). The 25 km and 8 km races receive sponsor prizes. HOKA is listed as the presenting sponsor.
Logistics and race information
Aid stations on the 50 km course are at approximately 12.5 km, 20.9 km, 25 km, 37.5 km and 45.9 km. The 50 km course has time cutoffs at the 25 km aid station (5 hours) and the 37.5 km aid station (7.5 hours). The 25 km race has aid stations near 12.5 km and 20.9 km. The 8 km race has no aid stations. Aid stations will provide water, electrolyte drink, gummies and chips.
Online registration closes on May 2 and there is no race day registration. Early-entry fees listed are $90 for 50 km, $65 for 25 km and $40 for 8 km; fees increase at later dates. Race package pick-up is available in Vernon on the days before the event and at the park on race day. Pacing and pacers are not permitted and support crews may only access designated areas on course.
