Stanza Stones Summer Edition

The Stanza Stones Summer Edition is a challenging 50-mile ultra running event held in West Yorkshire, starting at Marsden and finishing in Ilkley. Participants have 24 hours to complete the linear route, which features over 6,600 feet of ascent across the scenic South Pennines moorland. Along the way, runners visit six unique Stanza Stones inscribed with water-themed poems by Simon Armitage.

The course also passes through the historic village of Haworth before climbing Ilkley Moor near the finish. The event offers live tracking, indoor checkpoints with refreshments, and a finisher’s meal, creating a supportive and inspiring atmosphere for endurance runners.
