Event overview
The Stanza Stones Summer Edition is a timed, linear endurance event over 50 miles across the South Pennines. The route runs from Marsden, West Yorkshire, to Ilkley and includes moorland sections and a visit to the historical village of Haworth. The course passes six Stanza Stones, each bearing an inscribed poem connected to the theme of water. The event is listed as a 24 hour challenge and the minimum age to enter is 20 years.

Entries open 19 July 2025 and close 24 May 2026. Entry fees are listed as: UKA member £68 (rising to £78 from 1 Oct 2025) and non-member £70 (rising to £80 from 1 Oct 2025). There were 13 participants entered at the time of the listing. Registration is possible at either end of the route; registration locations include Marsden Cricket Club and Ben Rhydding Junior School. The event includes live tracking supplied by Open Tracking, three indoor checkpoints with food and drink, a finishers meal, and changing rooms at the finish.
