Event overview
The Stanford Treeathlon is a collegiate triathlon hosted by the Stanford University Triathlon Team on February 14, 2026. The race uses open water for the swim and combines three standard triathlon legs: a 750 m swim, a 20 km bike, and a 5 km run.
Format and categories
There are two separate race formats on the same day: a draft-legal race for collegiate and elite athletes and a non-draft-legal Classic race. The draft-legal program includes the following categories: Collegiate Men, Collegiate Women, Elite Men, Elite Women, Age Group Men, and Age Group Women. Waves for each race are organized into men's and women's starts; the organizers state they will accommodate participants regardless of gender identity.
Location and entry
The event place is listed as 1901 J Hart Clinton Dr., San Mateo, CA 94401. Draft-legal registration is handled separately from the Classic race. Some event entry fees are shown as $83.84 for collegiate events and $131 for elite and age-group events. Participants must be 18 years old on race day to compete in the draft-legal race.
