Coyote Hills Run
Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, California hosts a series of road and trail events that use the park’s bayside routes. The event offers multiple distances and a remote runner option. The park sits on the eastern shoreline of San Francisco Bay along the western edge of southern Alameda County.
Course surfaces include dirt trails, paved sections and wooden boardwalks that run through the marsh. Despite the park name, elevation gain on the event courses is minimal. The route provides regular views of the bay and varied terrain underfoot.
The park contains notable archaeological sites; Native Americans have lived in the area for at least 12,900 to 13,500 years, and the Tuibun Ohlone village site, more than 2,000 years old, can be visited on naturalist-led programs. Event services and amenities mentioned for past editions include participant shirts and awards, results and event photos. Hikers and walkers are explicitly welcome to take part in the walking options of the event.
