Event Overview
The Coyote Hills Run takes place at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, California. The event features a diverse natural landscape alongside the bay, with terrain consisting of paved trails, dirt trails, and wooden boardwalks. Despite the name of the park, the courses are designed to minimize elevation gain.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- Half Marathon (approx. 678 feet of elevation gain)
- 10K (approx. 184 feet of elevation gain)
- 5K (approx. 107 feet of elevation gain)
Course Details and Support
The half marathon has a time limit of 4 hours. A dedicated Hiker Division is available for those who expect to take longer than 3.5 hours; while these participants are not eligible for overall or age group awards, they receive official finisher results and medals.
The organizers provide fully stocked water stations across all distances, offering water, sports drink, gels, pretzels, and candy. The 5K includes one aid station, the 10K has two, and the half marathon features three. Runners requiring more frequent hydration are encouraged to carry their own water bottles or hydration packs. GPX files are available for those who wish to use digital navigation during their run.
Logistics
