Standing Boy Trail Festival
The Standing Boy Trail Festival is a multi-day trail running event at Standing Boy Trails in Columbus, Georgia, held over September 18 to 20, 2026. The festival includes several trail races on the Standing Boy trail system along the Chattahoochee River.
The event features these distances and formats:
- Night Time Vertical 5K out and back with about 400 feet of climb
- 10 mile race one loop of the main course
- Canicross 10 mile held on the opposing loop to reduce trail congestion
- 50K three laps of the 10 mile loop
The main course is a 10 mile loop that returns to the start and finish area. The 50K completes the loop three times and the 10 mile race completes it once. Runners in the 50K may use a drop bag at the start and finish area, and a fully stocked aid station is available on course. A headlamp or light is required for the Night Time Vertical 5K.
Additional event details include participant items for finishers: each race awards a medal, 5K entrants receive a small insulated cooler, 10 mile entrants receive a beach towel, and 50K entrants receive a t shirt. Parking requires payment in advance unless a year pass is held and available parking is limited. The 50K cut off is 9.5 hours and the 10 mile cut off is 3.5 hours. Refunds are available at 100 percent up to three months before the event; after that no refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
