Seventh Day Adventist You Matter 5K
The Seventh Day Adventist You Matter 5K is a community running event in Columbus, Georgia, held on September 20, 2026. The event is sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventist Church and is based at 12 W 11th St, Columbus, GA 31901.
The program includes these distances:

- 5K race
Registration opens July 7, 2026 and closes September 17, 2026. Entry fees are $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 mile. To be guaranteed a T-shirt participants should register by September 11 at 12 noon.
Packet pick up is available at Big Dog Fleet Feet, 12 W 11th St, on Friday, September 18 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm and on Sunday, September 20 from 6:45 to 7:25 am.
Awards apply to the 5K only and include 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall, 1st Masters, and age-group awards: under 14, 15–19, then 10-year age groups up to 70 and over. Male and female awards are given in all listed categories.
The event is organized to promote mental health and to create awareness during suicide prevention month. Proceeds will benefit the H.O.P.E. Fund at the Pastoral Institute, a counseling center serving Columbus, GA for more than 50 years. H.O.P.E. stands for Helping Other People Endure and supports people with limited financial resources who need mental health services.
