Event details
The Stampede Road Race takes place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Calgary at 5300 19 Street Southwest. The event includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids races (200-1200 m)
All races finish on the track. Participants in the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon receive a T-shirt and a reusable 200 ml Hydrapack speed cup while quantities last; kids receive a cotton shirt. A bag check is available at the Glenmore Track. Port-a-potties are located by the start line. Post-race activities include a traditional Stampede Breakfast.
Registration and logistics
Online registration closes July 1, 2026; after that, in-person registration is available only at Strides Running Store during race package pickup hours. Transfers are allowed until June 30, 2026. No refunds are issued. Package pickup is scheduled in the days before the event at Strides locations in Marda Loop and Fish Creek.
Registration fees vary by distance and registration level. Example listed fees include $23.63 for kids races, about $55.94 for the 5K and 10K at certain levels, and about $77.49 for the Half Marathon. All payments are in Canadian dollars and standard card types are accepted. Sponsors include Centaur Subaru, ASICS Canada and Strides Running Store.
