Stairway 5k by Ode to Laz
The Stairway 5k takes place within the Holly Recreation Area in Michigan. The event utilizes the local hiking trail system and is held at the Overlook Picnic Shelter area. Participants can choose between two different race options:
- 3.1 Miles (Stairway to Heaven 5k)
- 3.1 Miles (Stairway to Hell 5k)
The Stairway to Heaven 5k follows a rolling out and back course on the Wilderness trail. This route concludes with a single loop down and up the section known as the Stairway to Heaven.
The Stairway to Hell 5k focuses on the vertical elevation of the terrain. Participants complete the Stairway to Heaven section 12 consecutive times to reach the total distance. This specific course involves approximately 1,100 feet of total vertical gain.
The event is held at 5000 McGinnis Road, Holly. Parking and registration activities are located at the Overlook Picnic Shelter. Trail shoes are recommended if ground conditions are muddy. Entry to the venue requires a daily park pass or a recreation passport, which is not included in the race registration fee.
