St Sunday Sky Race 2027
The St Sunday Sky Race is a mountain trail event held on 17 July 2027 in Patterdale within the central and eastern fells of the Lake District World Heritage Site. The course covers 29 km with 2050 m of ascent and runs over St Sunday Crag and surrounding Eastern Fells.
The route is described as a classic distance sky race and contains technical mountain trails and ridge sections drawn from parts of the old Lakes Sky Ultra with some new sections. The course is fully marked and supported with one fully supplied feed station and five manned checkpoints. Electronic timing and a GPRS tracker are provided by Open Tracking. A professional safety officer and supporting safety team are part of the event delivery.
Event services include post race Voom Recovery and an Eco Medal for finishers. The event requires entrants to be 18 or older. Entries opened on 20 July 2026 and close on 4 July 2027. Entry fees start at £100 and increase in tiers to £120 later in the entry period. The event is organised by Lake District Sky Trails and is intended as an entry level sky type race for those interested in skyrunning in the English Lake District.
