Event overview

The St Sunday Sky Race is scheduled for Saturday 18 July 2026 in Patterdale, in the central and eastern fells of the Lake District. The course covers 29 km with approximately 2,050 m of ascent. Course and race features

The route runs over St Sunday Crag and surrounding Eastern Fells and uses parts of the former Lakes Sky Ultra route with additional sections. The course is described as technical mountain trails with ridge sections including Striding and Swirral Edges. Race logistics include a fully marked course, one fully supplied feed station and five manned checkpoints, electronic timing and GPRS tracking by Open Tracking, and a professional safety officer and supporting safety team delivered by Mountain Run.
