St Sunday Sky Race 2027

The St Sunday Sky Race is a mountain skyrunning event held in the central and eastern fells of the English Lake District, with the course based around St Sunday Crag and the surrounding Eastern Fells near Patterdale. The route covers 29 km with 2050 m of ascent and uses hard mountain trails and technical ridge sections derived partly from the old Lakes Sky Ultra but without the ultra and extreme elements.

The event is presented as a classic distance SkyRace and as an entry-level sky-type race suitable as a stepping stone to longer or harder skyrunning events. The course is fully marked and includes one fully supplied feed station plus five manned checkpoints. Electronic timing and GPRS tracking are provided by Open Tracking, and a professional safety officer and supporting safety team are supplied by Mountain Run.

Participants receive an eco-medal and post-race Voom Recovery. The race is delivered by Lake District Sky Trails and described as professionally planned by an experienced team. The minimum age for entry is 18 on the event date. Entry windows and fee tiers are published for the event, and event terms, cancellation policy, and optional XCover purchase are available for entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
