Event overview

The St Sunday Sky Race takes place in Patterdale in the English Lake District on 18 July 2026. The race is organised by Lake District Sky Trails and is set on routes across St Sunday Crag and the central and eastern fells within the Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site. Race details

The course covers 29 km with 2050 m of ascent over mountain and ridge trails. The route mixes sections of the old Lakes Sky Ultra with new sections, omitting the ultra and extreme elements. The terrain is described as technical mountain trails and is positioned as an entry-level sky race within skyrunning events.

Included services and safety: a fully marked course, manned checkpoints and one fully supplied feed station, electronic timing and GPRS tracking provided by Open Tracking, a professional safety officer and supporting safety team delivered by Mountain Run, and a post-race meal with vegan options.
