St. Pete Marathon Sunshine City
The St. Pete Marathon debuts in December 2027 as a 26.2 mile road race in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The full course runs inside the city on a flat waterfront route and both starts and finishes at Vinoy Park, 701 Bayshore Drive NE, on the downtown bayfront.
Organized by the Florida nonprofit United Sports Association, the event is the host of the 2027 USATF Florida Association Marathon Open and Masters Championships. The course is described as flat and fast and is positioned for performance and Boston qualifying attempts.
The event offers coach led training through the St. Pete Run Club, including customized marathon programs and free training guides. Aid stations supplying water and refreshments are placed approximately every two to three miles. The marathon uses a 6 hour course time limit to ensure participant safety and event operations.
