St. Pete Marathon
The St. Pete Marathon is an inaugural road marathon scheduled for December 2027 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Organized by the Florida nonprofit United Sports Association, the event serves as the host for the 2027 USATF Florida Association Marathon Open and Masters Championships. The race covers 26.2 mile on a flat, waterfront course that runs entirely inside St. Petersburg on the Gulf Coast of Pinellas County.
The course starts and finishes at Flora Wylie Park, 1400 N Shore Dr NE, and full course maps will be published as race day approaches. The event uses staged road closures and traffic management to limit impacts on residents. Operations include law enforcement, private security, and a medical response plan positioned at intervals along the route. A multi-stage waste management strategy follows a leave no trace approach.
Aid stations providing water and refreshments are placed approximately every two to three miles. The event enforces a six hour time limit to complete the course. The St. Pete Run Club is the event’s official training club and offers coach led marathon programs, customized plans, and free training guides. Organizers also partner with local nonprofits to provide fundraising opportunities and will announce official partner hotels as arrangements are finalized.
