Shoreham Bank St. Pat’s 5K in Providence
The Shoreham Bank St. Pat’s 5K takes place in Providence at the Rhode Island State House on March 20, 2027. The course follows the route of the Providence St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which begins immediately after the race.
The event includes two races and related options:
- Kids Leprechaun Run : approximately 1/4 mile for ages 12 and under.
- 5K Run/Walk : 3.1 miles; walkers welcome; no pets; strollers must start in the back.
The kids run allows parents to run with their children. Race t-shirts are provided to participants who pre-register; t-shirts are not guaranteed for walk up registrations on race day. There are pre-race packet pickup opportunities at Marathon Sports and a race day packet pickup location on Smith Street across from the State House.
This 5K is the second leg of the Tour de Patrick three race series. Participants who complete all three 5Ks receive a Tour de Patrick gift and a finisher’s medal after the final race. Virtual participation is allowed, counts toward the series, and virtual shirts can be picked up at packet pickup or mailed after race day.
Awards include top three overall placements, age group winners by decade, and a top overall team award scored by chip time. After the race there is a gathering at Patrick’s Pub at 381 Smith Street with live music and a cash bar; bring ID. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
