Event
The St. Patrick's Rock'n 5K is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Youngstown, New York. This is the 8th annual running of the event. The race distance is 5K and the course is USATF certified. The route runs through residential neighborhoods in the village, with the start on Main Street in front of the Ontario House (aka Stone Jug) and the finish inside the back parking lot of The Jug.
Registration and race services
Online registration is available through race day; a mail-in registration option is also offered and requires completion of race and USATF waivers. The entry fee for the 5K Run/Walk is listed as $35 through race day and includes a race shirt (guaranteed for registrations received by Friday, March 6 at 9am), a race bib, and post-race snacks. Custom race bibs are provided. Packet pickup takes place at the Stone Jug prior to the race.
Awards, timing, and other details
Trophies will be presented to the first overall male and female finishers. Custom shamrock bottle opener medals will be given to the top three male and female age group winners; age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older. Professional RFID timing will be used and results, photos, and downloadable finisher certificates will be available after the race. A post-race celebration and awards ceremony will be held at the Stone Jug with traditional Irish music; the venue will offer specials and its kitchen will be open. Free parking is available throughout the village, with overflow parking inside the entrance to Fort Niagara. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company Fire Police. The organizers reserve the right to reschedule the event or convert it to a virtual 5K; there are no refunds in such cases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
