St. Patrick's May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 2 Mile Run/Walk
This event is a community 2-mile run/walk held in Patchogue around St. Patrick's Day. Registration for the 2027 edition is not yet open; the organizer opens registration ahead of the race date and offers a notification option. Amenities noted for participants include a tech tee for the first 300 registrants and a complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over at the Pubs of Patchogue when showing their race bib. There is a costume contest for the most Irish looking with a cash prize of $100. Medical and event support was provided in the past by a local chiropractic practice that offered stretching, volunteers for street closures, and monitoring.
Awards include cash for top overall male and female finishers and a prize for the most Irish looking, a recognition for the top law enforcement officer, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 14 & under through 75 plus. Medals are available for pickup after the race when results are posted on Railroad Ave.
Packet pickup and day-of registration have been held at a race booth near the intersection of West Ave and Main Street in front of Blue Point Brewery; bibs have served as the beer ticket and personalized race numbers were available for those who registered early.
