St. Patrick's May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 2 Mile Run/Walk
This athletic event takes place in Patchogue, New York, coinciding with the community's St. Patrick's Day celebrations. The event features a single distance for participants to complete:
- 2 Mile Run/Walk
The course route begins near the intersection of West Avenue and Main Street, situated in front of the Blue Point Brewery. Due to the event and the subsequent parade, Main Street is closed to vehicle traffic. Event organizers suggest parking in areas north of Main Street or using Waverly Avenue for parking to the south.
Participants who register at least three weeks before the event receive a bib personalized with their name. The first 300 individuals to register are provided with a technical t-shirt. Amenities for participants aged 21 and over include one beverage at participating local establishments, redeemable by presenting the race bib. Champion Performance provides stretching services for participants on-site.
Awards are issued to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in various age categories ranging from 14 and under to 75 and older. Specifically, there is an award for the top finishing Law Enforcement Officer and a prize for the "Most Irish Looking" participant.
