St. Patrick's May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 2 Mile Run/Walk
This event is a community St. Patrick's themed 2 mile run and walk on Main Street in Patchogue. The course route is available on MapMyRun. Main Street will be closed for parade setup and suggested parking is north of Main Street, with Waverly Avenue recommended for parking south of Main Street.
Participation amenities include a tech tee for the first 300 registrants and a complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over at the Pubs of Patchogue upon showing a race bib. The bib also serves as the beer ticket for that post event beverage. A costume contest for the most Irish looking participant carries a cash award.
Medical assistance and event support are provided by Champion Performance, which also supplies volunteers for street closures and monitoring. Packet pickup and day of registration are located near the intersection of West Avenue and Main Street in front of Blue Point Brewery; personalized race numbers are available for early registrants.
Awards include a cash prize for top overall male and female, a prize for the most Irish looking, recognition for the top law enforcement officer, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Medals and awards can be picked up after results are posted on Railroad Avenue. Live online, email, and text results are provided along with same day finish line photos and video.
