St. Patrick's May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 2 Mile Run/Walk
This event is a community 2 mile run and walk held in Patchogue in connection with St. Patrick's activities. Main Street is closed early for parade setup and suggested parking is north of Main Street, with Waverly Avenue recommended for parking south of Main Street. A recorded edition of the race took place on March 22, 2026. Registration was not yet open at the time of the listing.
Amenities noted for participants include a tech T shirt for the first 300 registrants and a complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over at the Pubs of Patchogue upon showing their race bib. Costume entrants may compete for a cash prize for the most Irish looking appearance. Champion Performance provided stretching and volunteer support during the event and helped with street monitoring.
Packet pickup and day of registration are handled near the intersection of West Avenue and Main Street in front of Blue Point Brewery; self lookup is available for bib numbers and a bib also serves as the beer ticket. Results and photos are provided live online with same day finish line pictures and video. Awards include cash prizes for top overall finishers, age group awards across multiple age divisions, and a prize for top law enforcement officer.
