St. Patrick's May the Road Rise to Meet Ye - 2 Mile Run/Walk
This event is a community 2 mile run and walk held on Main Street in Patchogue. A previous edition took place on March 22, 2026. Main Street is closed early for parade setup and suggested parking is north of Main Street; Waverly Avenue provides additional parking south of Main Street.
The first 300 registrants receive a technical race shirt. Participants aged 21 and over may claim one free beer at participating Pubs of Patchogue by presenting their race bib. There is a costume contest for the "most Irish looking" with a cash prize. A chiropractic practice provides volunteer support, stretching assistance, and street monitoring.
Awards include cash prizes for the top overall male and female finishers and for the most Irish looking entrant, plus top law enforcement recognition. Age-group awards are given to the top three men and women across standard age divisions from 14 and under through 75 plus. Medals are available for pickup on Railroad Avenue once results are posted.
Packet pickup and day-of registration are handled at a race registration booth near the intersection of West Avenue and Main Street in front of Blue Point Brewery; bibs are required to claim the post-race beer.
