St. Patrick's Day Run Tulsa
The 42nd annual St. Patrick's Day Run takes place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the starting location situated at RunnersWorld Tulsa. This event serves as a fundraiser for Special Olympics Oklahoma and the Tulsa Running Club. The race features a flat, out and back course that is designed for speed.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- 5 km (Chip timed)
- 1 mile Fun Run
- Special Olympics Exhibition Race
Registered participants for the 5 km distance are eligible for various awards. The top three male and female finishers in each age group receive recognition, alongside overall male, overall female, masters male, and masters female classifications. Overall awards are determined by gun time, while age group awards utilize chip times. A financial bonus is offered by the Tulsa Running Club for any participant who sets a new Oklahoma state open record for the 5 km distance.
The event includes several post-race activities, such as a DJ with music, a photo booth, and an awards ceremony. Bottled water is provided at staging areas and at water stations located along the course. Participants who register by the early February deadline are guaranteed an event t-shirt, and all runners receive a finisher medal. In addition to the in-person races, a virtual participation option is available where runners can submit their times through a dedicated mobile application.
