Event Overview
The Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K is a holiday-themed running event taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The race is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2026.
Location
The event will be held at Riverside 96th Street Park on the River Parks Trail.
Distances
Multiple distances are offered:
- Kids Dash (approximately 50 meters)
- 1 Mile Run
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 10K Run (6.22 miles)
- Volunteer then Run 5K
- Virtual Run option
Event Features
All finishers receive a holiday-themed race shirt and a finisher medal. The event includes a holiday costume contest with prizes, such as two free entries to a future Bigfoot Running Company race, a trophy, and a bucket of holiday treats. A DJ will play music, and holiday cookies and milk are provided at the finish. The 5K and 10K distances are chip-timed and award trophies for first overall male and female finishers, as well as special recognition pins for first-place masters finishers (age 40+). Age group awards are given for these distances.
The 1 Mile Run and Kids Dash are not timed. The Kids Dash, for participants 10 and under, includes a race medal and an exclusive recognition pin. Youth-based pricing is available for the 5K and 10K for participants aged 12 and under.
Course Information
The course takes place on paved trails in parks and greenbelts, though runners may also encounter surfaces like crushed granite or dirt paths.
Schedule
Packet pickup is available from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM. The Kids Dash starts at 8:55 AM, followed by the National Anthem and the start of the other races at 9:00 AM. Results and awards are available live at the registration tent after finishing.
Volunteering
Volunteer roles are available, including Course Monitor, Aid Station helper, Finish Line Helper, and Bigfoot Mascot. Volunteers receive a race shirt, a souvenir medal (subject to availability), and a choice of a free entry to a future event or a digital gift card.
