18th Annual St. Patrick's Day 5k, 1m Fun Run, 200m Kiddie Dash
This event takes place in Denton, Maryland at 107 South 4th Street on March 14, 2026. It includes a 5k run, a 1 mile fun run/walk, and a 200 meter kiddie dash for children age 5 and under. The 5k is described as a 3.11 mile out and back course through the streets of historic Denton and is promoted as fast and flat.
The event is organized with the support of Caroline County Recreation and Parks and benefits Caroline County youth by providing scholarships so children can participate in summer camps and other programs. Race amenities include event T-shirts. There will be one water stop on the course located just past the one mile marker near Denton Elementary School and additional water at the start and finish area.
Timing will be conducted by Seashore Strider Event Production using the Chronotrack chip timing system. Awards will be presented to overall male and female finishers, masters, and the top three in five year age groups from ages 6-8 up to 70 and over. Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5k, $20 for the 1 mile fun run, and $7 for the kiddie dash. Checks may be made payable to Caroline County Commissioners.
