Run the Vineyards - Harvest Ridge Winery 5K
The Run the Vineyards 8th Annual 5K takes place at Harvest Ridge Winery in Marydel, Delaware (447 Westville Road, 19964). The event is a chip-timed 5K held on winery grounds and adjacent country roads, with a post-race party on site.
The course is described as a mostly flat 5K that passes through two vineyards, a wooded trail, a crownstone marker of the historical Mason-Dixon line, and some country roads. Walkers start behind runners and must be registered to be on course; a one hour time limit is requested for all participants.
Included race features note a custom technical shirt in women’s, men’s/unisex, and youth sizes, with an optional upgrade to a women’s racerback tank for an additional fee and a men’s tank option at no added cost. A stemless wine glass is included, and finishers over 21 receive a complimentary glass of wine. Souvenir finisher medals are available for an additional fee. The event provides chip timing with instant results, water stations, course volunteers, and finish line water and fruit.
The after-party offers live music, a food truck, lawn games, indoor and outdoor seating, and a patio overlooking the vineyards. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to age-group winners in multiple categories. A professional photographer will provide downloadable race and after-party photos. The event operates rain or shine with no refunds or deferrals. Volunteers receive a glass of wine and a complimentary future race entry.
