Event Overview
The St Patrick's 5K is held at Park Place in Leawood, Kansas. This is the event's sixth annual edition.
Events and Registration
The event features three separate entries:
- 5K - A chip-timed road race.
- Virtual 5K - A remote participation option.
- Kids Fun Run
Registration prices for the 5K start at $31, with an increase scheduled after February 15, 2026. The Virtual 5K is priced at $42 and the Kids Fun Run at $12.
Participant Experience
The event includes a St. Patrick's Day costume contest. All participants in the 5K receive a custom finisher's medal and a pint glass. A short-sleeve event shirt is available for purchase during registration for an additional $7.
Awards
Awards are given based on chip-timed results. Categories include top overall male and female finishers, top masters male and female finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Age groups range from 14 and under to 80 and over.
Logistics
Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, March 13, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at a location to be determined. Any remaining packets will be available at the race site starting at 7:00 AM on race day.
Charity Partnership
The event's charity partner is Lucky 13 Rescue, an organization dedicated to rescuing and aiding homeless and neglected dogs in the Kansas City area. Participants can donate specific items such as potty pads, puppy food, paper towels, and small tarps at packet pickup or on race morning.
