26th Annual St. Patrick School Runnin' with the Irish 5K
The 26th annual Runnin' with the Irish 5K benefits St. Patrick School in Chesterton and takes place at Indiana Dunes State Park. The course uses paved roads and winds through the park. Park admission is waived for participants. A student discount is available. Race shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after February 23, 2026. New for 2026, all 5K finishers receive a finisher medal.

Packet pickup is available before race day at two local locations and on race day at the Indiana Dunes State Park City West Shelter. Early pickup locations include Extra Mile Fitness Co., Valparaiso, and Val's Pizza, Chesterton.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female winners, overall masters (40+) male and female winners, age group awards for kids and adults, Clydesdale and Athena awards, and a finisher prize for kids in the fun run. Awards are presented on-site during the postrace ceremony and then available for 14 days at Extra Mile Fitness Co., Valparaiso, during regular business hours.
