Event
The St. Joseph Turkey Trot is a community 5k run/walk. The course starts and finishes at the Margaret B. Upton Arboretum and passes local landmarks including Silver Beach Pizza, Shadowland, the Carousel, and nearby beaches. Timing is provided by Michiana Timing and results are posted immediately after the event. The listed entry fee for the 5k is $25.
Logistics and services
Registration fee includes a short sleeve Turkey Trot t-shirt, race bib, goody bag, awards for top finishers, and post-race snacks. Packet pickup is available at Our Lady of the Lake School, 915 Pleasant Street, St. Joseph, on Tuesday and Wednesday before race day, and on race morning at the Margaret B. Upton Arboretum tent. Parking is available at the Berrien County Courthouse lot (811 Port Street); stairs at the north corner of that lot lead down to the river and the event area. Porta-potties will be on site. City streets remain open during the race; participants are asked to stay within coned or barricaded lanes as minimal traffic may appear in oncoming lanes. Awards include a trophy and gift card to Connected Soles for the overall male and female winners, plus medals for the top two males and females in each age group category (9 & under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+).
