Event Details
The organizers are hoping to reintroduce the 10K race, pending state approval. If approved, the proposed course would go through neighborhood streets, along Paw Paw Lake, and through the city of Watervliet. The event is a partner race in the Fruitbelt Run Series. Completing this race counts toward the series requirement of five races for a special series medal commemorating its 20th year.
Awards are given for overall male and female winners, as well as age group winners and placers (1st through 3rd). For the 1 Mile youth race (13 and under), awards are given to the top 10 finishers. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by June 26th for the 5K, 10K, and Virtual 5K events. Youth racers in the 1 Mile also receive a t-shirt with entries by June 26th. Shirts are available after that date while supplies last, with virtual participants' shirts mailed starting the week of July 6th.
Packet pickup is available on Friday, July 3, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on race morning starting at 7:00 AM at Watervliet North Elementary School (287 W. Baldwin Ave). Race day parking is also available at the school. The race will be timed by Southwest Michigan Timing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
