Candy Cane 5K Run - Stevensville
The Candy Cane 5K Run in Stevensville is the sixth annual community run/walk centered at St. Paul’s Lutheran School. The course is described as relatively flat and passes through local subdivisions and the downtown area. The event proceeds in rain, shine, or snow. Dogs on leashes and strollers are permitted.
Pre-registration opens August 23 and early online registration is priced at $30; fees increase to $35 after December 3 and same-day registration carries a $35 late fee. To guarantee a tee shirt, participants must register before November 15; extra shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis. The organizer states there are no refunds, though special reimbursement options will be offered if the race is canceled due to an applicable state mandate.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at St. Paul’s Lutheran School gym and on race day at the same gym. The race starts and finishes at St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Timing and scoring will be provided by Mac’s Sports Timing using ChronoTrack technology, with participant times available live during the event and results posted for participants to view.
Net proceeds benefit St. Paul’s Lutheran School’s Scholarship Fund. Awards include Overall Male and Overall Female, age-division awards for specified age ranges, awards for best Christmas apparel, and a potential 70 plus category if enough registrants qualify.
