St. Francis de Sales 5k run/walk
This event is a family-friendly 5k run and walk held to support St. Francis de Sales school. Participants of all ages are welcome and walkers are explicitly accommodated. The course starts and ends next to the school on Curtis Street in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers, with the overall winners excluded from age-category awards. Age-division awards are given to the top three in each division: 1-10, 11-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-65, and 65 and over.
On-site parking is available in the upper parking lot off Curtis Street and on Main Street in front of the school. Packet pickup is offered on Friday, May 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and on the morning of the event on Saturday, May 23 from 7:00 to 7:45 am.
A Remote Runners program allows participants to complete the distance at an alternate location, including outdoor routes or on a treadmill, and to log activity via the event registration dashboard. The event includes self-guided participation options; participants who choose this option are responsible for their own hydration and for leaving locations clean. A Zero to 5K training resource is provided for newcomers, described as a gradual walking and jogging program designed to build to a 5K in about four weeks.
