St. Augustine Prep On the Move 5K
The St. Augustine Prep On the Move 5K is a community athletic event held at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey. This event supports the Oscar Mike Fund, a name derived from the military term meaning "On the Move." Proceeds from the race benefit the school's Third Semester program, which provides students with experiential learning opportunities ranging from local service projects to international travel initiatives.
Participants can choose between two specific distances:
- 5K Run
- 1M Walk
The 5K event includes an awards ceremony for the top three male and female runners in the overall category. Additionally, awards are presented to the top three finishers in several age groups, including 14 and under, 15-19, and ten-year age brackets ranging up to 70 and over. Participants who complete their registration by October 31 are guaranteed a race shirt. Current students at St. Augustine Prep are eligible for a registration discount.
