Event overview

The Hangover Run is a 5K road race held on January 1, 2026, in Williamstown, New Jersey. The course starts and finishes at Owen's Park, adjacent to Williamstown High School, at 700 N Tuckahoe Road. The event includes a family run/walk format and offers free entry for kids 14 and under when an adult registers. Awards are given to the top three overall female and male finishers. The event supports Viola's Place, a local resource center and women’s shelter for survivors of domestic violence.

Course and logistics

The course is mostly asphalt with a small dirt section between the high school parking lot and the bike path and a hard packed gravel driveway near the Williamstown Dog Park. Elevation gain for the course is 33 feet. Strollers are allowed but should handle the described terrain. Friendly, non-aggressive dogs on a leash are permitted; runners with dogs are asked to start toward the back and recorded times are taken when participants cross the start line. There is no time limit. Bib pick-up and check-in take place at the pavilion in Owen’s Park closest to the high school. The race is produced and professionally timed by JLD Event Management and Timing; results will be posted online. Race day registration is available via onsite QR codes and all registration is handled online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
