SSW Running Club Club Challenge 5k
The SSW Running Club Club Challenge 5k is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Tinley Park, Illinois. The event is presented by the Homewood Flossmoor Community Running Club as the 4th annual South-Southwest Suburban Club Challenge. Race format, course and awards
Area clubs may enter three-person teams in all-male, all-female, or co-ed categories across high school, open, and masters divisions. The times of the three finishers on each team are added to determine champions in each division. Unattached runners are welcome. The course runs through the trails of Yankee Woods, with the start and finish at Yankee Woods near 166th & Central Ave. Awards are given to the top three overall individuals and to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 14 & under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and 70 & older. Following the race, participants may receive one free appetizer at the awards ceremony at Oliver's in Oak Forest. Organizers offer a $15 discount for members of registered clubs.
