SSW Running Club Club Challenge 5k - Tinley Park

The SSW Running Club Club Challenge 5k is an annual club competition held in Tinley Park. The event is organized by the Homewood Flossmoor Community Running Club and takes place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The course runs through the trails of Yankee Woods with the start and finish located near 166th and Central Ave, at 16600 S. Central Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60477.

Area clubs may form three-person teams in all-male, all-female, or co-ed formats across three divisions: high school, open, and masters. Each team’s three finishers have their times added together to determine division champions. Unattached runners are welcome to compete as individuals. Top three overall individuals will receive awards, and awards are also given to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & Older.

Following the race, participants can receive one free appetizer at the awards ceremony at Oliver’s in Oak Forest. The event fee is listed as $30 and the price increases after August 4, 2026. A course map is available for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
