Friendship 5K in Memory of Joe Mis
The Friendship event is a community 5K run held on August 3, 2026, at Rohrman Park in Schererville, IN. The event benefits the Joe Mis Junior Strider Track Program and is open to all ages.
Entry fees are tiered. Standard registration is $30 through July 31, 2026 (11:59 PM CT). Runners age 18 and under have a reduced fee of $20; runners age 65 and over have a reduced fee of $25. Entry fees increase to $35 on race day. A Gold Cup participant discount of $2 is available for pre-registered participants and is not valid on race day.
Prizes are awarded across several categories, including overall male and female, overall masters male and female, top three in age groups for male and female, and top three in Clydesdale and Athena divisions. Clydesdale is for men weighing 210 lb and over; Athena is for women weighing 170 lbs and over. Age groups run from 8 and under, then 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24 and continue in five-year bands up to 80 and over.
