Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence Sumner Esplanade - Race 1
This event takes place on June 7, 2026, at the Sumner Scarborough Clock Tower, 147 Esplanade, Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand. The registration area and the start and finish line are located at the clock tower, with parking available along the Esplanade.
The course is a flat 2.5 km out and back on the Esplanade walkway. Entrants in the 2.5 km event complete the course once; 10 km entrants complete it four times. There will be one aid station providing water and Pure electrolyte drink. Pushchairs and buggies are permitted. The Esplanade will remain open to the public during the event.
Event options and fees:
- 10 km for ages 14 and older, fee NZ$25
- Kids 2.5 km for ages under 14, fee NZ$15, parents or caregivers may accompany children at no extra charge
