Bristol Sri Chinmoy Races Summer Series
A sequence of weekday-evening races held each summer from early May to late July on the Sri Chinmoy Peace Mile in Eastville Park, Bristol. The 2026 schedule lists races on 5 May, 2 June, 16 June and a relay on 7 July.
Distances
- 2 miles (three open evening races)
- 1 mile (junior races)
- 3 x 1 mile relay (team of three; entries limited to 150)
The course is an accurately measured, undulating 1-mile pavement loop around the park perimeter, shaded by trees for much of its length. The relay is a separate event from the three-race series and includes a free ice cream for each relay finisher.
Entry is possible online, by mailed entry form with cheque, or on the day for an extra £1. Typical entry fees listed are seniors £5 (club) / £7 (unaffiliated), juniors £3 / £5, with a 3-race senior series fee of £13 / £18 unaffiliated and junior series fees noted separately. Relay entry fees follow the same senior/junior structure.
Prizes are awarded across multiple age categories for men, women and juniors. The event is held under UKA rules. Measures to reduce event impact include bag storage, a bike rack, EV charging in the park car park, encouragement to bring reusable cups, and a tree-planting programme of 20 oaks.
