Race for Life Bath 5k
Race for Life Bath is a 5k event at Royal Victoria Park in Bath. Entry is open to people aged 16 and over. Entry fees listed are £15.99 for adults and £11.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
The course starts and finishes on grass within Royal Victoria Park. Most of the route is on tarmac roads and paved paths, with some grass sections through Royal Victoria Park and Royal Crescent. The route includes a reasonably steep short hill on Cow Lane next to the allotments and some gentle inclines around the park. The full course has an overall ascent of 76 m.
Meeting points are central within Royal Victoria Park. The start line is on a gravel path near the Botanical Gardens and the finish is on grass close to the Botanical Gardens and the Fish Pond. Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed and the event is suitable for pushchairs. Wheelchair access is provided but some sections may require assistance. There is no designated event car park; the closest public pay and display car park is Charlotte Street Car Park BA1 2NE, about a six minute walk from the site. Road closures and parking suspensions will be in place for the event.
Event support includes a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends, and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
