Sri Chinmoy Princes Park Winter Running Festival
The Sri Chinmoy Princes Park Winter Running Festival is held on 9 August 2026 at Lawn 3, Princes Park, Royal Parade, Carlton, Melbourne. The event offers a range of distances on a measured circuit suited to road running.
- Marathon 42.2 km (8 laps plus a 2.2 km half-lap)
- 30 km 6 laps of the 5 km circuit
- Half marathon 21.1 km (4 laps plus a 1.1 km add-on)
- 10 km 2 laps of the 5 km circuit
- 5 km 1 lap of the 5 km circuit
Races use a flat, tree-lined 5 km circuit within Princes and Royal Park. The course has been measured by an AA certified measurer and is traffic free, with kilometre markers. Drink stations are provided approximately every 2.5 km and supply water and electrolyte. A full course briefing is given before the races.
Timing is by chip with live online results and net mat time is used for placings. Race numbers are collected on race morning; cash and credit cards are not accepted for on-the-day entries and online registration is available up until shortly before each event. First aid is provided by St Johns Ambulance and toilets are available at the start/finish area. A post-race pancake breakfast is provided. Age-group awards are presented from U15 through 80+ with 1st to 3rd place medals for male and female categories. Minimum age requirements apply by event distance.
