Sri Chinmoy Heart Garden 2 Mile Run
The Sri Chinmoy Heart Garden 2 mile run is scheduled for 10 October 2026 at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens, New York. The event is presented by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team with support from the Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run and takes place at Meadowlark Circle near the north end of Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
The program combines a community running event with a Heart Garden ceremony and a peace walk featuring a torch and torch bearer awards honoring distinguished guests. Children's activities are part of the program, including short fun runs and a peace run component. Entry is free and registration is handled on race day only.
The event recalls the 2006 dedication of an 800 meter loop named Sri Chinmoy Street and the Heart Garden in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a tribute to Sri Chinmoy's promotion of fitness and integral health. The park setting is near landmarks such as the Unisphere and the US Open tennis complex.
Access to the site is possible by subway to Mets Willets Point on the 7 line with a walking route of a little more than one mile to the Meadowlark Circle staging area.
