Sri Chinmoy Heart-Garden 2-Mile Run

The Sri Chinmoy Heart-Garden 2-Mile Run is an annual athletic event held in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, New York. Sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team and the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run, the event serves as a tribute to the park and its history. The race takes place near the north end of Meadow Lake, with the staging area located at Meadowlark Circle.

The course utilizes areas of the park near "Sri Chinmoy Street," an 800m loop dedicated by city officials. This location is a notable hub for athletics, also serving as the home to the World’s Fair grounds and the US Open tennis tournament. The event includes several participation options:

  • 2-Mile Race
  • 800m Children's Fun Run
  • 100m Children's Fun Run

The event is open to the public with free entry. Registration is conducted exclusively on the day of the race at the event site. Following the athletic portions of the morning, the program includes a Heart-Garden ceremony featuring a peace walk with a torch, awards for distinguished guests, and refreshments.

The venue is accessible via public transportation, with the Mets-Willets Point subway station located approximately one mile from the staging area. For those arriving by vehicle, free parking is available in a large lot adjacent to the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
