Sri Chinmoy Heart-Garden 2-Mile Run : Flushing Meadows Park, Queens
The Sri Chinmoy Heart-Garden 2-Mile Run is an annual community event held on October 10, 2026, at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. The event is inspired by Sri Chinmoy and serves as a tribute to the Heart-Garden and the nearby 800 m loop that were dedicated in October 2006.
The program centers on a 2-Mile run/walk and includes children’s fun runs (100 m and 800 m) and a Peace Run program of roughly 20–30 minutes. Following the run, a Heart-Garden ceremony features a Peace Walk with a commemorative torch, torch-bearer awards honoring distinguished guests, brief inspirational remarks, and distribution of gifts and refreshments.
Entry to the 2-Mile race is free, with race-day registration only. The event is sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team and the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run. Previous editions of the Heart-Garden event and past results are maintained by the organizers.
Race-Day Central is located near Meadowlark Circle at the north end of Meadow Lake. The closest subway access is the Mets–Willets Point station on the 7 subway line, with roughly a one-mile walk to the race staging area.
