Sri Chinmoy Canberra Labour Day 10 km and 4 km Fun Runs
The Sri Chinmoy Fun Runs are held twice a year at Acton Park in Canberra on the signposted Sri Chinmoy Recreational Running Course along the northern shore of Lake Burley Griffin. The event uses an established, measured and marked course that has been in regular use since 1984.
Two distances are offered:
- 10 km
- 4 km
Permanent Sri Chinmoy race number bibs are used for these races. Participants who already own a permanent bib must bring it for their result to be recorded. On the day, on the day registration and late entries are available at Acton Park.
The event includes an awards presentation and medals for top placegetters across specified age categories for both distances. A family atmosphere is noted, with a post race pancake breakfast for all participants. Course records for the 10 km and 4 km have been recorded since 2004 and past result lists are maintained for previous years.
Entry fees vary depending on the entry date, with different pricing for the 10 km and 4 km events. The race is described as a lakeside recreational run with a regular program of twice yearly dates including a Labour Day fixture in October.
