About the race
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Labour Day Fun Runs are held at Acton Park on the northern shore of Lake Burley Griffin. The event uses the signposted, measured Sri Chinmoy 10 km Recreational Running Course that has been in use since 1984. A family atmosphere is provided with a post-race pancake breakfast and an awards presentation; medals are given to top placegetters.
On-the-day registration, race-number bib collection and late entries are available at Acton Park between 7:30am and 8:20am. Permanent Sri Chinmoy race-number bibs are used for these races; participants who own a permanent bib must bring it to record a result. New permanent bibs purchased with entry should be collected by 8:00am.
Entries are offered for two distances:
- 10 km
- 4 km
The event runs twice a year at Acton, with typical dates in March and on Labour Day in October. Results and course records are maintained for both distances and published for prior years. Award categories cover multiple age groups for men and women across both distances, including detailed placings in veteran and junior divisions.
